Ideas and plans for improving GreyFlevo

This bicycle has no goal or final form, only a journey. Here is a list of the main stages of its development, including future ones.

Add a roof with solar panels.

Make a center stand.

So that one can sit comfortably on a stationary bicycle.

Replace the chain with a belt drive.

To simplify maintenance and facilitate assembly/disassembly for transportation.

8/26/2025

Add the option to connect an additional battery.

For longer trips where weight is not as critical, but range is of utmost importance.

8/26/2025

Make custom saddlebags or trunks.

Standard bicycle bags are not very spacious and do not fit the form factor, while motorcycle bags are too heavy.

8/26/2025

Add an additional lightweight mid-drive motor instead of the bottom bracket.

Will allow climbing the hill more efficiently and prevent overheating of the rear motor wheel in modes that are not efficient for it.

New rear fork

To increase the suspension travel and add flexibility to the frame geometry settings. As a side effect, a good mounting point for the center stand appeared.

Print a 3D QR code with a link to articles about bicycle.

People on the street often stop in surprise, ask questions, and try to understand how the bike works. The QR code allows them to read about it even when I'm not around.

Central stand for Cycle Analyst and phone

Before the installation of the Cycle Analyst, the display and phone were simply placed on the frame. This was extremely inconvenient, and due to the width of the Cycle Analyst, it is physically impossible to place them this way. At the same time, the central post will complicate getting on the bike - a folding mechanism will be required.

Starlink Mini Installation

It will allow to maintain connectivity and even work in more remote and wild areas. In combination with a solar roof, autonomy will be significantly increased. The main challenge will likely be power supply, but the mounting to the frame also needs to be designed and printed.
